Solar Power Solutions

Solar Power Solutions

Fig 1: Solar Stand-Alone system

For areas not connected to the grid. Clients that want to be independent of the grid. Good for remote locations.

a). Domestic

These are systems designed for homes and private residentials.

Fig 1: Domestic Standalone System

b). Commercial

These are provided for rental apartments or small-scale businesses in townsS or in the rural areas.

c). Industrial

These are standalone PV systems that are designed to handle small industries that are located away from the grid or when power is urgently required but the grid is unavailable. Usually, a large battery bank is connected through a charge controller to the solar PV array. The power from the PV array is then passed through an inverter into the load side of the installation.

Grid-tie systems are quickly cutting costs for our Commercial and Industrial clients. These solutions are also suitable for domestic and residential clients who take advantage of the sun’s availability during the day to cut energy costs.

a). Domestic

Grid-tied domestic systems are small systems used by home owners and private residentials to bring down the monthly energy bills by utilizing solar power during the day.

b). Commercial

Grid-tied solar power systems are very beneficial to business and other commercial installations as they cut down energy bills by utilizing solar power during the day

c). Industrial

Industries are greatly advantaged by using grid connected system to cut down their daytime energy costs.

Fig 5: Illustration of a hybrid solar system

Combines the capabilities of solar PV and battery storage. Can also add other sources of power including the grid and backup generators.

Water pumping for boreholes, wells, farm irrigation and in domestic and residential buildings.

Fig 7: Solar water heaters

No reason to spend money on energy bills while heating water. We can use solar water heating solutions to offset these energy costs.

  • Low cost of electricity from the Solar Grid Tie PV system of US$ 0.020 per kWh
  • Huge cumulative electricity cost savings of over the lifetime of the system
  • Hedge against possible future escalations in grid electricity price,
  • 100% Investment Deduction Allowance (IDA) is available for investment in solar power plants providing additional savings from tax and improving the project financial outlook.
  • Potential additional savings resulting from reduction in maximum demand charges if the facility electricity peak demand occurs during the day time.
  • Reduced carbon footprint over the project lifetime in the business by utilizing electrical energy from renewable sources.

Back-up kits are essential when power outage stops the running of a business.  It is necessary to have a reliable power back up source.

During the day, solar lights will absorb and store the PV energy from the sun and store that for usage during the night providing a total lighting solution.
